The CD "Bird Songs of the Lower Rio Grande Valley and Southwestern Texas" contains several birds normally found in the Trans-Pecos. They include Colima  Warbler, Gray Vireo and Black-chinned Sparrow, Zone-tailed Hawk,  Montezuma Quail, Western Screech-Owl, Whip-poor-will (southwestern form),  White-throated Swift, Acorn Woodpecker, Western Wood-Pewee, Cordilleran Flycatcher, Black Phoebe, Say's Phoebe, Cassin's Kingbird, Hutton's Vireo, Crissal Thrasher, Phainopepla, Hepatic Tanager, Canyon Towhee, Rufous-crowned Sparrow and Scott's Oriole.
